Operations built for the next stage of growth.

Most businesses hit a ceiling not because the product failed or the market moved, but because the operating model never kept up. The systems that got you here are slowing you down.

Revenue grows, but margins compress. Hiring accelerates, but productivity per head declines.

01
Who we work with

Three kinds of organisations find their way to Aurien.

They come from different markets and different stages. What they share is the need to change their operating model to grow.

  • 01 Australian technology companies preparing to enter the US market through channel and distribution models. The partner infrastructure needed to scale in a new market is easy to underestimate, and getting it wrong early is expensive. Aurien works through the implications before the commitment is made.
  • 02 Australian growth-stage businesses that have scaled faster than their operating model can support. Aurien helps founders and leadership teams work out where the model has broken down and rebuild it for the size the business has become.
  • 03 US-based technology companies whose channel and partner programmes are underperforming. Aurien works embedded alongside specialist channel consultancies to find why a programme isn't producing and fix it from the inside.
02
How this works

Most consultants arrive with frameworks. We arrive with questions.

Every engagement starts with Clarity: a structured diagnostic, not a discovery call in disguise. The problem that prompts the call is rarely the constraint underneath it. Businesses that outgrow their operating model all look different on the surface. Underneath, it's usually the same three or four patterns.

We've built and run these systems inside businesses we were accountable for. Nothing gets recommended until the specific operating context is understood.

Operational pattern recognition, built over years inside growing businesses.

03
AI & operational foundations

AI is only as useful as the operations underneath it.

Aurien has spent the last two years building AI-assisted workflows into live business operations, and runs them every day.

AI adoption keeps running into the same problem: adding intelligence to a system that doesn't yet have reliable foundations.

  • The process is manual and undocumented.
  • The data is inconsistent.
  • No one has a shared view of what good looks like.

The advisory work comes from that experience, not from reading about it.

04
The engagement

How an engagement works.

Clarity

Fixed scope and fixed fee

Four to six weeks, run as a structured diagnostic. The output is a written view of where the model is breaking and why, talked through with the leadership team: what to fix first, and what can wait.

Build

Scoped after Clarity

The deeper work. Operating model design, process redesign, channel and market-entry foundations, strategy-to-execution alignment, done alongside the leadership team.

Grow

Advisory and subscription-based

An ongoing fractional engagement for businesses that want an experienced operational and channel strategy hand available without a full-time hire. Scoped to the specific need.

Aurien's channel and partner work covers programme design, partner onboarding infrastructure, go-to-market alignment across markets, and the operational systems that keep a programme running consistently rather than in bursts.

Vanessa Rizzo

Fifteen years in operations and channel strategy across Australia and the US.

Vanessa has built and run the operational and channel infrastructure that growth depends on. Not as a consultant. As the person accountable for the outcome.

That means channel programmes across three continents, including partner networks, two-tier distribution, and marketplace and retail placements. She knows what it takes to get a business ready for new market entry and channel-ready.

She builds working AI systems, not chatbot experiments: automated workflows and operational infrastructure that change how a business runs day to day. She started Aurien because she's been in the room where this work succeeds or fails.

No pitch. No frameworks.

Thirty minutes to understand where growth is creating pressure and whether an operational perspective would be useful. If it's not a fit, we'll say so.
